Historically, some associations have created shared email addresses such as [email protected] which gets handed down to new leaders over time.
Unfortunately, if you share access to your TOTEM account with another person, that person will have access to your information as a member, as well as your leadership access rights. Specifically, it is possible that a different user who 'takes over' your TOTEM account could use your existing payment information to purchase new memberships for themselves.
To avoid this possibility, we ask all users of the platform to use personal, non-shared email addresses for their primary login.
This is an important security measure for our users.
